Karel Roden is from very old Czech Actor's dynasty. His grandfather Karel Roden plays in 30s episode parts in movies as well as his father Karel Roden (1914-1992). Karel Roden graduated at Prague Dramatic Academy of Fine Arts in 1985. He established in very difficult psychological characters, but his first success was episode part of young medic in comedy, "How Poets Are Losing Their Ilussions" (1984). Between his best dramatic achievements belong the leading roles of weaker Milan in psychological drama Cas sluhu; (The Time of the Servants, 1990), Don Gio (1992), unstable criminal Emil Slovak in moralizing thriller 15 Minutes (2001), architect Krystof in Parallel Worlds (2001) and Russian oligarch in Bourne Supremacy (2004). He succeed also in comedy genre (Mr. Bean's Holiday) and in theatre. He was honored by prestige theatre award Alfred Radok Prize (2000). Karel Roden is in present day internationally best well-known Czech actor.
