Born London in 1938 and educated Oxford University - B.A. (hons) M.A. Entered industry in 1961 and joined CMA (now ICM) in 1966. 1972 head of production MGM (Europe) and produced Ransom (1975)with Sean Connery in 1975.
Relocated to USA in 1978 and in 1980 rejoined ICM as executive vice-president and head of international department. 1996 re-entered production. He has lectured at many film schools, given seminars etc. etc. And he has broadcast with Jim Svejda a number of indecently eccentric programs of classical music.
In 1992 he was honoured by King Juan Carlos of Spain and is a "Caballero Official" of the order of civil merit. He is also a governor of the Ojai music festivals.
