Poppy Montgomery Dishes on Her Boundary-Pushing Boy

22 September 2009 5:00 AM, PDT | People - CelebrityBabies | See recent People - CelebrityBabies news »

Freeman/Empics/Abaca Time moves fast, and Poppy Montgomery wants to make the most of hers with son Jackson Phillip Deveraux, 20 months. “I have been working since he was born,” she told Celebrity Baby Blog at the Pink Party to benefit the Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Research Institute in Los Angeles on Saturday, “so I am going to take the rest of this year just to be with him.”

Although she will “re-evaluate” the situation in January when Jackson begins preschool, for now the twosome have been passing the time much like any other mother and son. “We’re just hanging out,” Poppy shares. “We have a toddler group and we go to the park…I’m just ‘Mom,’ which has been really fun for me.”

Most of the time! Jackson is “testing every boundary under the sun,” Poppy concedes before adding:

“Everything he is not supposed to do, he wants to do. »

24 July 2009 3:30 PM, PDT | People - CelebrityBabies | See recent People - CelebrityBabies news »

For some breastfeeding comes easily to both mother and baby, but for others the relationship takes work — a lot of work! The same holds true for celebrity moms, and in the August/September issue of Fit Pregnancy some familiar Cbb faces offer advice and encouragement to those who are struggling to nurse.

Black/Startraks; Stefania D’Alessandro/WireImage; Jordan Strauss/WireImage “The biggest challenge of breastfeeding is getting over the hump of the first month,” Jennifer Garner says. “Just try and hang in there for six weeks and then you will hopefully realize you are over the worst of it and can really enjoy it.” If things still aren’t going well the 37-year-old actress — mom to Violet Anne, 3 ½, and Seraphina Rose, 6 ½ months — says to lay off the guilt, adding,

“Don’t judge yourself. If you can’t do it, there is no judgment.”

19 May 2009 6:54 PM, PDT | TVSeriesFinale.com | See recent TVSeriesFinale news »

Call the FBI. There's another victim of the cancellation axe over at CBS. The network has cancelled long-running crime drama Without a Trace.

First airing in 2002, Without A Trace follows an FBI team that's tasked with finding missing persons. Each episode follows the search of an individual and tracks the time that they've been missing. The series stars Anthony Lapaglia, Poppy Montgomery, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Enrique Murciano, Roselyn Sanchez, and Eric Close.

The series averaged 15.09 million viewers in its first year on the air and grew to a high of 18.68 million for season three. The show's ratings have declined over the years and season seven has fallen to about 12.2 million. Like many shows on CBS, the drama tends to skew older.

As part of cost-cutting efforts, CBS put Without A Trace and Cold Case on the bubble this time around. Both Jerry Bruckheimer series have become expensive over the years and »

24 February 2009 5:35 PM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Actor Anthony Lapaglia is planning a seven-a-side soccer tournament to raise cash for the victims of the Australian bush fires.

The Without A Trace star, a former soccer ace Down Under, has organised a Hollywood United Football Club day-out, dubbed Footy & Meat Pies, in Pacific Palisades, California to help out those caught up in the natural disaster earlier this month.

Former European soccer stars Frank LeBoeuf and Richard Gough will also be among the action. »
