The Broken Star (1956) -- Bill Gentry (William Williams), a deputy sheriff meets with resistance when he tries to investigate the murder of a Mexican. However, when he does find the murderer, it turns out to be Frank Smead (Howard Duff), his best friend and a fellow deputy.
