Seth MacFarlane has revealed that a Family Guy movie could begin production "within the next year". The animated TV show's creator told TV Week that work will start on a film when producers come up with a viable schedule. He said: "We do want to do it and we will do it at some point. It's just time. We in the past six months started talking seriously about it. So my hope is that we'll get it going within the next year. "Doing the show is a seven day a week process and (more)

Hairspray star Amanda Bynes has sparked rumours she is dating Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane - after they were spotted enjoying a night out together in Los Angeles.
The TV writer, who split from his girlfriend Eliza Dushku earlier this year, was reportedly seen embracing the 22-year-old actress at an L.A. party, and subsequently leaving with her.
A source tells the New York Daily News, "They came separately but when she found Seth in the crowd, they huddled up and chatted. She giggled a lot.
"He walked out probably five steps in front of her but, clearly, they were leaving together."
MacFarlane recently became the highest-paid series creator in TV, signing a $100 million (GBP50 million) deal with 20th Century Fox.

The players: Director: Guillermo del Toro, Writer: Guillermo del Toro, Cast: Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Jeffrey Tambor, Luke Goss, Anna Walton, Seth MacFarlane (voice)
Facts of interest: Guillermo del Toro used incredible puppetry combined with digital enhancement to achieve the desired look of the creatures in the film.
The plot: Creatures from the mythical realm wage war against humanity in an attempt to take control of the world, while Hellboy’s band of unlikely heroes do all they can to save mankind.
Our quick thoughts: The red, horned hero is back and better than before in this amped-up sequel of 2004’s “Hellboy.” While the first film appeased mostly fans of fantasy and Mike Mignola's graphic novel, “Hellboy II: The Golden Army” will most likely entertain the majority of moviegoers with its all-around improvements in action, story and aesthetics.

Directing a sequel to a modestly successful comic-book adaptation might seem like a perverse choice to follow up an Oscar-winning international triumph like Pan's Labyrinth. But for Guillermo del Toro, directing the Hellboy movies is the opposite of slumming: His affection for the comic's motley gang of misfits is palpable in every scene. Del Toro makes movies fanboys love in part because he's such a fanboy himself. With Hellboy II: The Golden Army, del Toro proves his geek credentials once again by collaborating with Hellboy creator Mike Mignola on the story, hiring Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane to voice a fantastical creature that looks like Robby The Robot's off-brand cousin and talks like Colonel Klink, and including a conspicuous homage to John Landis. Ron Perlman returns as the film's loveable title character, a demon gone good who's tough on the outside but tender underneath, with a soft spot.

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane has vowed to stop smoking marijuana - because it makes him too paranoid.
MacFarlane signed a $100 million (GBP50 million) deal with 20th Century Fox in May, in a move which will make him the highest-paid writer-producer in television - and he's determined to increase his productivity by swearing off illegal drugs.
He says, "I don't smoke much pot anymore. One of the last times I was stoned, I was convinced that I would die unless I kept moving my body.
"So I sat there, baked, waving my arms around like a crazy person."

In general, there are five ways to get on the Fox network: 1. Be animated by Seth MacFarlane 2. Tolerate Jeff Foxworthy and a bunch of highly telegenic 5th graders for a few hours. 3. Show up either in a mime costume or mentally challenged (but not so mentally challenged that people will feel bad laughing at you--it's a fine line) at American Idol or So You Think You Can Dance auditions. 4. Respond with a "Yes, Chef" to everything Gordon Ramsey says/does. 5. Cultivate a wild-eyed, mysterious stare and become a character actor. This way maybe Jj Abrams will find you mysterious enough for The X-Files: Fringe or Joel Surnow will find you terrorist-y enough for 24. But according to this casting notice for the new Fox game show Hole In The Wall it appears that there is a...

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane has signed a $100 million (GBP50 million) deal with 20th Century Fox, in a move which will make him the highest-paid writer-producer in television.
The agreement will see MacFarlane stay at the company until 2012, covering his work on cartoon Family Guy and his two other animated series with Fox - American Dad and Family Guy spin-off The Cleveland Show.
The deal is also reported to include new projects related to the TV series as well as gaining MacFarlane a cut of DVD and merchandising revenue.
If the $100 million reports are true, MacFarlane's contract will eclipse the deal struck by Lost Creator J.J. Abrams with Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros TV in 2006 for a reported $60 million (GBP30 million).
