With nothing more than a hula-hoop, they changed their worlds. Crossing cultural borders from South Central to South Africa, a kid's toy is spawning a dance phenomenon with a vibrant subculture in its wake. THE HOOPING LIFE documentary chronicles the lives of a dozen hoopers who invigorate their communities while overcoming difficult circumstances. THE HOOPING LIFE is where radical fairies, a Southern preacher and inner-city kids meet. Every screening is followed by participatory hooping, the audience becomes the show led by the local community of hoopers.

The Hooping Life (2009) -- For perhaps the first time in recorded history, a kid's toy, the hula-hoop, is spearheading an explosive subculture.
Crossing cultural borders from South Central to South Africa, THE HOOPING LIFE chronicles the lives of a dozen “hoopers”, who overcome difficult circumstances to invigorate their communities.

We follow the evolution of hooping to California where the performance artist Anah takes us on a journey into an uncharted landscape where an inner-city kid, a transgendered performance artist, an entrepreneurial academic and a Southern preacher all engage in THE HOOPING LIFE.
Beyond the pure fascination of watching jaw-dropping moves, THE HOOPING LIFE is ultimately about taking the risk to follow your dreams, even if they involve something as surprising as a hula-hoop.
Champagne for Caesar (1950) -- What happens when the man who knows everything goes on a quiz show that doubles your cash prize every time a you answer a question correctly? Beauregard Bottomly is that man & what happens is you end up with 40 million dollars at stake.
