He also wrote a play called "Tectonic Plates", which was produced as a filmic adaptation (Candadian public TV 1994).

He was awarded the 2001 London Critics Circle Theatre Award for Best Director for The Far Side of the Moon performed at the Royal National Theatre: Lyttelton in London, England.

He was awarded the 2001 London Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Play for The Far Side of the Moon performed at the National Theatre.

Tribute at the 26th Moscow International Film Festival. [2004]

He was awarded the O.C. (Officer of the Order of Canada) on April 13, 1994 for his services to Canadian French theater.
