Reginald grew up in Youngstown, Ohio until the age of 13. He spent his teenage years in North Carolina. He attended Andover Phillips Academy for a summer session, and graduated from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. He graduated from the University of Michigan and moved to New York in 1994 where he resides today. His first feature supporting role was in Hav Plenty (1997).

Reginald is an active member of BOOK P.A.L.S, an educational program where actors read stories to children in schools to promote literacy.

Reginald once taught at John Casablanca's Modeling Center in Michigan.

While working his way through school, Reginald once dressed up as an Excedrin bottle and handed out samples outside a post office in Detroit on Tax Day. On another occasion, he wore a Sonic the Hedgehog suit to promote a Nintendo World Mall Tour.
