He is credited with reviving the magic show as a form of mass entertainment in the 1970s and popularizing it on television.
Married to Barbara DeAngelis before she became famous as a relationship author. After she divorced him, DeAngelis was briefly married to John Gray who later became famous for writing the "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" book series.
