A nine-day 3-D Film Expo is due to open at Hollywood's Egyptian Theatre on Friday, featuring 33 3-D movies, cartoons, and short subjects from the 1950s. It Came From Outer Space will also be presented in stereophonic sound. Kathryn Grayson, who appeared in the 3-D production of Kiss Me Kate, and Rhonda Fleming, who appeared in Inferno, are among the stars scheduled to participate in discussions of the films. The festival was organized by SabuCat, headed by Jeff Joseph, who told today's (Wednesday) Los Angeles Times that the 3-D format got an unjustified bad rap. "I think if you take any 50 random movies, you'll find some good ones and some bad ones and some mostly average," Joseph told the newspaper. "I don't think the 3-D movies are any better or any worse than any other movies at the time." »
