Tease Of The "Dream" Sequence Characters In Halloween 2!

If you recall, back when we did out set report for Rob Zombie's Halloween II and we chatted with FX artist Wayne Toth, we caught glimpse of a bunch of character pictures that we can only describe as surreal. They're intended for several of the dream sequences in the upcoming sequel and now Zombie himself is giving a tease of what we saw via his My Space blog. Check out this bizarre pumpkin-headed looking creature below.

MTV has posted the first clip from Rob Zombie's Halloween 2. In it, we get a peek at Michael Myers (Tyler Mane) chasing surviving Laurie Strode (Scout Taylor-Compton) through the hospital in one of the sequel's early sequences, very reminiscent of the original Halloween 2. Fright Exclusive Interview - Rob Zombie On Halloween 2!

Just added! A Fright exclusive interview with writer/director Rob Zombie! A few months back, Icons Of Fright were invited down to the set to see the making of Rob Zombie's eagerly anticipated Halloween sequel H2. We were able to chat with Scout Taylor-Compton, producers Andy Gould and Malek Akkad, as well as FX artist Wayne Toth, but with only 3 days left in the tightly-scheduled shoot at the time of our visit, it was difficult for Zombie to break away to chat & explain his intentions with the latest film in the Halloween series. Zombie: Tyrannosaurus Rex 's Future Uncertain

When ShockTillYouDrop.com visited the set of Rob Zombie's H2 ( Halloween 2 ) last month, Andy Gould - Zombie's manager and producer - offered a glimmer of hope regarding Tyrannosaurus Rex . The project, a violent '70s-esque thriller about a boxer, had broken free of Dimension Films and was being courted by another studio. Zombie tells us this week, however, that he's not sure if it will be his next film. "I would love to make that movie next - it may be, it may not be. The Weinstein Company have released the official synopsis to Rob Zombie's eagerly anticipated Halloween sequel H2! It reads as follows:

It's that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Rob Zombie can, Myers will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past. Halloween 2 Trailer On-Line This Friday?

A few weeks back when we did our set visit for Rob Zombie's Halloween 2, the producers had informed us that the first trailer for H2 would be playing before prints of Crank 2: High Voltage. Then word got out that it would only be attached to prints in only NY and La markets. We have yet to hear from anyone who's seen it, despite a tease popping up via Entertainment Tonight. (See that Here!)

Well, studio reps confirm that you'll get your first peek at Michael Myers latest outting on Yahoo's site This Friday. Keep your eyes peeled and we'll post the link as soon as it goes live!

Filmmaker Rob Zombie unveiled 2 more images from his upcoming Halloween sequel H2 via his My Space blog. He also answered another fan submitted question:

Another question that comes up a lot is " Why Halloween 2? You said you would never do another one!"

Well, that's true. If I said it once I said it a million times. When I finished Halloween I was so fucking burnt out that the thought of doing another seemed totally insane to me at the time. I was done. But after a year and a half break I started to think that maybe another one wasn't such a bad idea. I love the characters and felt that I had only just scratched the surface of what could be done with them. The basic story was out of the way and now the series could go anywhere. If there’s someone who can give you the real scoop on what Rob Zombie is up to, then you should be chatting with Andy Gould, Zombie’s long-time producer and friend. Icons got the chance to talk with Gould briefly in-between takes of H2, Zombie’s Halloween sequel out in theaters August 28th.

After Zombie completed the publicity tour for the first Halloween 2 years back, he had sworn off coming back for a sequel. Well, as the musician/filmmaker/artist has said many times since, “Well, I say that after every tour too…” I asked Gould when he knew that they’d both be back to make a Halloween sequel. “When we were filming the first one,” Gould recalls, “there was a moment there when Rob had said – we even called the studio and said “we can complete this if you let us do 1 and 2 together.” (Laughs) And they were like “Uh,

Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 Teaser From Entertainment Tonight!

A few days back, we reported that the first official teaser trailer for Rob Zombie's Halloween sequel H2 would be playing before prints of Crank 2: High Voltage. Seems that's only the case for theaters in NY and La. However, we can expect this baby to pop up on-line any minute now. Entertainment Tonight showed a quick glimpse at the trailer via a news report last night and that clip has made it's way on-line. Zombie posted it via his My Space blog so despite it being of "bootleg" quality, he must not mind! Here it is:

If you look closely, (in particular Myers quick reveal in the mirror) you'll catch glimpses of the "new" bad-ass mask we've been alluding to. Essentially, a huge chunk of it is missing to reveal half of Tyler Mane's face. (Think the Phantom Of The Opera mask? If that portion was missing from the mask.
