The first official promotional video for "Lost" season 6 has been unraveled by ABC. Instead of containing new footage, the clip gives a flashback to the very first episode, when the Oceanic crashed, and several others from the following seasons.
The video, moreover, also emphasizes that this season will be "the beginning of the end". Additionally, the show's leading characters, including Josh Holloway's James 'Sawyer' Ford , Evangeline Lilly's Kate Austen, Daniel Dae Kim's Jin Kwon, Yunjin Kim's Sun Kwon, and Terry O'Quinn's John Locke, are all featured in the clip.
Along with the video, the producer of "24", John Cassar, hinted at possibility that he will direct the hit ABC show. "News that I will be directing a #Lost in November is not totally accurate. I am potentially going to direct an episode in the new year," he tweeted on Thursday, October 29.

The film follows an affair between a politician (Damon) and a ballerina (Emily Blunt) and a mysterious force that is keeping the lovers apart. The film co-stars Terence Stamp, John Slattery, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Daniel Dae Kim, and Michael Kelly. It’s due out in 2010. »

We already know it's adapted from a Philip K Dick short story. We already know it's written and (for the first time) directed by George Nolfi, who previously scripted The Bourne Ultimatum. We already know it stars Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Anthony Mackie and Shohreh Agdashloo. And now three more names have been added a bit further down The Adjustment Bureau's cast list: Daniel Dae Kim, Michael Kelly and John Slattery.Kelly, formerly the assholeish mall security guard Cj in 2004's Dawn of the Dead, and recently seen in the Generation Kill mini-series, will play the best friend and campaign manager of Damon's congressman.Kim, best known as Jin-Soo Kwon on Lost (the one who was blown up on a rescue boat and ended up in the 1970s with no memory when the island shifted dimensions) is a "mysterious staffer" at the titular bureau. And Slattery, senior ad man »

This week:
Zombieland eats the competition; Josh Brolin is the new Sean Penn in Cartel; Jessica Alba is added to Fockers; Kim and Kelly get Adjusted; Sarsgaard joins Cruise and Diaz; Sheen, Unger and Nesbitt are Shown The Way by Emilio Estevez.
Zombieland exceeded expectations and managed to reach number one of the top ten at the box office this week. The Woody Harrelson stars in Zombieland and it should make about $25 million this weekend. That’s about a million more than its reported production budget!
Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs should manage another $16 million or so giving the animated film a good $82 million total.
Toy Story I and 2 3D was third giving the animated combo a solid $13 million. Considering that these puppies have been available on DVD for over a decade bodes well for Toy Story 3 3D when it hits next year.

Matt Damon's next movie (following the long-finished but delayed until next year The Green Zone) is The Adjustment Bureau, which writer-director George Nolfi adapted from a Philip K. Dick short story. We already knew that Emily Blunt was co-starring in the film, but now we've got three other names to add to the cast.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Daniel Dae Kim (Lost), John Slattery (Mad Men), and Michael Kelly (Law Abiding Citizen) are joining the film, which will shoot this fall in New York. Kim will play "a mysterious staffer" at the Bureau of Adjustments, while Slattery will be one of the men in charge. Damon is a congressman who realizes that his relationship with Blunt's ballerina has some added friction because of the work of the Bureau. »

-- You know what's pretty crazy? This trailer for "The Crazies," the upcoming remake of George A. Romero's classic horror film. The movie, directed by Breck Eisner ("Sahara"), focuses on a Midwestern town that's gone bizonkers due to a mysterious toxin in the water supply. Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell play the lead roles. (Apple)
-- John Woo is set to bring his Chinese action epic "Red Cliff" stateside on November 20, 2009, and there's a brand new trailer to prove it. I'm still wondering how he'll fit his trademark hero-with-two-pistols into the period piece, but I'm keeping an open mind. (Apple)
-- Remember that horrifying Discovery Channel special about Earth's future millions of years down the line, where humanity is gone and scary hybrid creatures have taken over? It's time to live through that nightmare again, as "The Future is Wild" is coming to the big screen courtesy of "Shrek" producer John Williams. »

John Slattery, Daniel Dae Kim, and Matt Damon are all gonna be in the same movie, which means the fan fiction universe is about to explode. Slattery might be the king of all silver foxes, Kim can give Josh Holloway a run for his money for Lost's hottest island-dweller, and I hear Matt Damon is pretty popular. Ugh, it's enough to make me wish there were a Tiger Beat for adults. I want to post photos in my locker, you guys, and play Mash to determine which of these fellas I'm destined to be with. The Philip K. Dick adaptation The Adjustment Bureau has started filming in Manhattan, getting me very, very exciting about what this futuristic movie might do with the look and feel of my town. Now they've given me and even better reason to stalk the set-- two of my favorite TV actors, Lost's Daniel Dae Kim and Mad Men's John Slattery, have joined the cast. THR writes that Kim will play a staffer at the Bureau of Adjustments, the mysterious organization that is separating a congressman (Matt Damon) and a ballet dancer (Emily Blunt) with whom he is smitten. Slattery plays a high-ranking executive in the bureau, while Michael Kelly has also been cast as Damon's best friend and campaign manager. »

Back in July it was announced that Matt Damon and Emily Blunt would star in The Adjustment Bureau, a movie based on yet another Philip K. Dick short story. The late writer seems to have a treasure trove of film friendly stories, and while you may not know him by name, if you've seen Minority Report, Total Recall, or Blade Runner then you've seen the cinematic re-tellings of three of nine adaptations of his work. THR reports that Daniel Dae Kim (of ABC's "Lost"), John Slattery (of AMC's "Mad Men") and Michael Kelly (of HBO's "Generation Kill") will be joining Blunt and Damon in George Nolfi's directorial debut. The Adjustment Bureau "centers on a congressman (Damon), on the rise in politics, who meets a beautiful ballet dancer (Blunt) only to discover that a strange organization is keeping them apart." Slattery will be one of the higher-ups in the bureau »

Spoiler alert: Lost will be mysterious to the end.
Recent Emmy winner Michael Emerson — just one the Losties who talked to us recently about the show's sixth and final season — promises it will resolve some but not all of fans' questions.
"I don't know if they'll be fully satisfied or not," Emerson says. "I don't know if we want to be fully satisfied. I think it's always best to go away wanting a little more."
Lost bosses tease Comic-Con crowd with series' final scene
You can forgive Emerson for being as enigmatic as his character, Ben Linus. But in interviews with TVGuide.com, his castmates (including Jorge Garcia, Daniel Dae Kim, and Terry O'Quinn) did clarify three things that have nagged us since the fifth-season finale in May:

No, it's not quite the morning after the Emmys but I spent yesterday recovering from a bit too much overindulgence the night before and still wanted to get in my thoughts about this year's Emmy awards before the door for such discussion slams shut. Emmy host is a rather thankless job and we've seen, thanks to last year, just how much the show can go off the rails in the hands of less-than-qualified hosts. However, I thought that Neil Patrick Harris did a legendary job and infused the proceedings with wit, sparkle, and humor and kept things running smoothly. (Did we really only run over by a few minutes? Fantastic.) I spent the evening carousing at two post-Emmy bashes, HBO's luxe red-hewed affair at the Pacific Design Center and AMC's latenight after-after-party at Chateau Marmont. Both fetes were absolutely, ridiculously fun and the stars were out in full-force for both events, »

Before we begin, if you’ve yet to watch the first season of Lost, just stop reading now. Reading this review won’t give you an edge when you finally go to watch the first season, it’ll just ruin some of the great moments. With that said, you’ve been warned, because there be slight first season spoilers ahead.

Chicago – A majority of people who watch television in HD would cite ABC’s “Lost” as having the highest quality broadcast on television from a technical level but the first two seasons were only available in standard definition. Until now. J.J. Abrams’ mysterious island and its residents look absolutely amazing in HD and now fans can catch up with the first two seasons of “Lost”.
Blu-Ray Rating: 5.0/5.0 There are a few franchises that simply do TV on DVD better than others - “The Simpsons,” “24,” and, of course, “Lost” stand among the best. With fantastic special features and gorgeous transfers, these shows aren’t just documents of a program’s original broadcast, they stand on their own and enhance the show instead of just giving viewers an opportunity to watch it again.
The first four season releases of “Lost” have been among the most acclaimed in the history of standard DVD »

Season Five of “Lost” went out with a bang (or lack thereof) last night, leaving many fans wondering where they’re going to get their fix of Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Locke and the rest of the mysterious island’s inhabitants between now and the 2010 season. With a cast and filmmakers that have never shied away from projects close to comics fans’ hearts (and in the case of Brian K. Vaughan, began their careers in comics), the series has carved out a niche for itself in the geek scene that will be sorely missed in the months until its sixth (and final) season kicks off.
But fear not, folks. Here’s a breakdown of some other places you can find your favorite people from the island in and around the world of comics-related fare, from starring roles to blink-and-you-miss-it cameos.

While African-American men only nabbed 4% of the slots on the Hot 100 list, they pretty much ruled the roost when it came to this category. Indeed, it was nearly a Top 10 sweep with only Wilson Cruz and Mario López sneaking in at the end. As for Asians, B.D. Wong landed at #14 and Daniel Dae Kim came in at #18 while Sendhil Ramamurthy pretty much carried the torch for Indian representation by placing #12. The next highest-ranking man of Indian descent was British native Dev Patel, who made quite an impact in Slumdog Millionaire (2008). Alas, the success of that movie only propelled Dev to #28.
After Cruz and López, the next highest ranking men of Hispanic descent were Gael García Bernal and Guillermo Díaz at #s 20 and 21, respectively. Pop singer Ricky Martin clocked in at #26 followed by soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo at #40.
With any luck, the election of Barack Obama will remind all of us »
