Call them "cult classics." "Guilty pleasures." "Comfort movies." We all have a mental rolodex of flicks that may not be terribly popular but, for one reason or another, they resonate in a very special way. Maybe you saw it at the right moment. Maybe you just see gold where everyone else sees feces. Whatever the case, these are the special favorites that you keep stashed away for sick days. Here are some of ours.
My favorite superhero film of all time is called "Condorman." You've probably never heard of it. It's not an Oscar-nominated picture. It's not particularly well-liked. It isn't based on a comic book. It isn't available on DVD, at least not in the United States. Until recently, I hadn't even seen it since elementary school. To most, it's the very definition of movie theater trash.
To me, it's cinematic gold.

Tony And Olivier Award winning actor Michael Crawford has been President of The Sick Children's Trust since 1987 and on Tuesday, July 28th, he made a special visit to Eckersley House to help boost the current fundraising efforts. Crawford visited St James' Eckersley House as part of 'The Big Move Campaign'. Eckersley House, which provides overnight accommodations for the families of the children, will be moving to the Leeds General Infirmary. »

Former Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em actress Michele Dotrice is to make another guest appearance in BBC One's daytime medical drama Doctors, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal. The 60-year-old, who played Frank Spencer's (Michael Crawford) long-suffering wife Betty in the classic BBC sitcom, will play wheelchair-bound pickpocket Jane Shields. Jane explains to a policeman that she's had her purse stolen just as The Mill's nurse Michelle Corrigan (Donnaleigh Bailey) walks by. Jane drops a carrier bag of shopping and Michelle picks it up for her, before returning to the medical centre. On her arrival, Michelle's distraught to discovers that, she, too, has had her purse pinched by who she presumes to be the same thief who stole Jane's. 4th Wall Theatre, a non union professional theatre in Bloomfield, NJ is presenting Schmidt & Jones musical, I Do! I Do! as a Valentine for lovers of all ages. Starring in the 4th Wall production is the incredible team of Julie Waldman-Stiel and Will Lampe. Waldman-Stiel has toured the country with Topol in Fiddler on the Roof, the national tour of Cats, and was seen opposite Tony Award winner Michael Crawford in The Music of Andrew Lloyd Weber. Lampe has done NY and regional theatre and toured in the 1st National Company of Urban Cowboy: The Musical. The musical is a photo album of memories that follow the lives of two people through fifty years of a marriage: from the wedding night, to having children and all the trials, tribulations, laughter and tears that a couple endures.
