Priscilla and her father Troy were the hosts of the show. Priscilla and her father Troy sang together on the show as a "duet," and performed in comedy skits, written by Vic Dunlop. They were compared to other family duets such as, "Frank and Nancy Sinatra," "Donny & Marie Osmond," and Sonny & Cher. during that time period. The television Variety Show was one of Priscilla's first breakthroughs, to be seen in the public eye, performing for national television.

Priscilla recorded her first album with her father Troy Cory, entitled Troy and Priscilla Cory "Easy Lovin," which was later re-released on the 'British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) [gb]', BBC Radioplay Record Label. Aired on the radio, (BBC) in London, England and played/aired to this day, ironically, "That's My Weakness Now."
Her main movie breakthrough was in the biographical made-for-TV movie, Deadman's Curve (1978) (TV), a World Premiere Movie on CBS about "Jan and Dean", a surf music singing duo from the early 1960's. This movie was a door opener for 'Jan Berry', and Dean Torrence, it gave them a whole new opportunity for a comeback music career, many years after Jan Berry's traumatic automobile accident. During "The Troy Cory Evening Show" (1974), Priscilla was offered a Record contract from RCA a second close to Capital Records. RCA Records, to her misfortune told Priscilla they only wanted to sign her and not her father Troy Cory. Being so young and without the proper guidance she needed and quite naive, she chose to turn down that record co. contract because she felt she had to be loyal to her father. Unfortunately for Priscilla, down the line, he wasn't as loyal to her. In essence, they both missed out on many great opportunities in America.
Priscilla has had many different notable agents representing her to name one was, the late Walter Kohner, and his brother of the famed Paul Kohner, Agency. This was another great misfortune, for her, due to the fact that Walter Kohner was about to represent her in a starring role, in a major motion picture, and he suffered a massive stroke two weeks prior.

Newcomers at the time would lip sync to some of Priscilla Cory recorded vocals, they were, Joey Lauren Adams and Angelica Bridges in the 1988 show, but then again all of the back-up dancers would lip sync to Priscilla Cory vocals, which was acceptable to the Chinese, due to their acoustics's. The costumes were of strict adherence as well.
Her father Troy Cory was the first American Artist to ever be allowed to perform in, The People's Rebublic of China, along with the first back-up dancers/singers mentioned above.

In one of Priscilla's skit's, playing a "Baby Snook's" character, entitled, ["Priscilla's Pop"], for "The Troy Cory Show" in an episode with Singing Artist Mel Carter, and her father Troy. Priscilla was made to do at least 4 takes at the end of the skit, because she was to hold up a mousetrap which was not quite in the cameras frame and the director and crew wanted Priscilla to do her Baby Snook's, whew a lot louder, then they all applauded and laughed, at her job well done. This was the punch-line scene, as to, "Where did the cheese for Mel's Apple Pie come from, Prissy"? The final line, while holding up the mousetrap was...."From the Mousetrap Daddy"....Whaw!

Since I was a little girl, when other actors would say to me, or I to them before an audition or a performance, "Break A Leg"! My immediate reply was, oh no that's much to painfully extreme, and then you couldn't perform and that would entail bad luck! I always have said, "Stub A Toe", for childlike wishes for good luck, and much more productive, and yes, less painful!
Yesterday's are a part of our history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a precious gift, that's why it's called the present!
I feel that there is no harm in asking for something that you truly want or desire. The only answer you will get is a yes, or a no! At least you asked, so you tried, no harm in that! And if you got a yes, wasn't it well worth it?
I must always remember, to love myself enough, in order to do the right things!
It's said to never judge a book by its cover, I believe the same holds true for people!
"Mere words are never enough to show a person your wholehearted gratitude, but your heartfelt actions always are"!
The saying goes..."Sticks and stones may break my bones, but as for myself, words from "Ties That Bind", will always hurt me!"
Watch your back, be wise when you find out that you are befriending yourself with a "Two Faced Person". These kinds of people are double jeopardy "Phonies"! Their deceitfulness, mealymouthed, superficial, insincere, pretense of thinking is often times the same as a "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing"!
"People are like cars, they depreciate in value with age, but if they're rare and beautiful to begin with, they eventually become, "Classics" and appreciate"!
"The USA Dollar Bill is not the "Root to All Evil", but as the Holy Bible says, "The Love Of Money Is". And the ulterior motives in utilizing them and "Greed" are"! "In God We Trust" is written on them for a very good reason!
In show business, it's tough enough to make it! So always stay with your tried and true talent. If you risk trying to replace that golden talented one, you will also risk all of your chances, [by half an inch] from being true "Stars", because of that deadly force, called "Karma"! Money cannot take the place of a "Priceless" commodity!
People who are not in Show Business, ("Civilians, they're referred to"), do not realize just how hard it is to get yourself hired for a film, a TV series, a recording contract, or an agent. A masters degree won't matter a bit, nor money, or just simply filling out an employment application. Boy, if it were that easy as some people think, going on an audition would be a piece of cake!
