Legend of the Seeker (TV) will kick off its second season this weekend and no one is more excited about it than series star Craig Horner, who plays the titular Seeker, Richard. When last seen, Richard had killed the villainous Darken Rahl (Craig Parker), and as the action-fantasy picks up the story, Richard knows better than to get too caught up in celebrating his victory, as evil of all kinds is lurking, threatening him, Zedd (Bruce Spence), Kahlan (Bridget Regan), and the people and land they love. PopStar recently caught up with Horner for the following exclusive interview. Let's go back to season one. How pleased were you with initial set-up of the story and the characters, and what intrigued you most about the way in which the season unfolded? At first I wasn't so sure about the idea of Kahlan and Richard not being instant friends when they meet, »

Guilty pleasures come in all forms. A few quickly spring to my slightly demented mind: s'mores, Bo Derek movies, Debbie Gibson (she's from my hometown and the girl can still sing), muffin tops, Xanadu. And these days, my television guilty pleasure is Legend of the Seeker, the campy, cheesetastic fantasy souffle from Spider-Man auteur Sam Raimi and his longtime creative partner, Rob Tapert. Together, these guys have given us such delicious TV junk food as Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, Cleopatra 2525 and more, and Legend of the Seeker is right up there with the best of 'em. The show is based on Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth books, and it follows Richard (Craig Horner), who's destined be the titular heroic Seeker; Kahlan (Bridget Regan), a bewitching, butt-kicking Confessor and Richard's would-be great love; and Zedd (Bruce Spence), an eccentric and powerful wizard who accompanies Kahlan and Richard on their adventures. »

Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, rejoice! Charisma Carpenter will be appearing in the season 2 premiere (airing Nov. 7) of the syndicated fantasy series Legend of the Seeker, exec-produced by Sam Raimi. In this snap from the premiere, a kiss between rival warriors Triana (Carpenter, left) and Cara (Tabrett Bethell, right) is actually a war tactic. “It’s about domination,” says Carpenter. “She’s putting me in my place." What say you, Buffy fans? Will you be tuning in? Photo: ABC »

80's action stars, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, have got together on October 24 to shoot a scene for "The Expendables", and details on the scene have been shared by Stallone himself. To Entertainment Weekly, the director/writer/star of the actioner provided further info about the characters Willis and Schwarzenegger take on among others.
Confirming that the scene takes place in a church, Sly revealed that Willis portrays the one who hires his mercenary group for the death-defying mission, while Schwarzenegger stars as his character's old rival. Describing the scene in more detail, the 63-year-old gushed, "Bruce says 'Well, there's one other person I want to talk to before I hire you. And then Arnold, who plays my old rival, walks in."
"We have a history together," Sly continued explaining the fall-out his character has with Schwarzenegger's. "And we go back and forth and I tell him that »

Entertainment Weekly talked with Sylvester Stallone about the pivotal, 5-minute scene with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis for Stallone's The Expendables which we first reported here. Sly talked candidly about the six hour shoot:
Stallone said the superstar-summit scene takes place in a church, where Willis' nasty antagonist has summoned Stallone's macho mercenary to finally meet him face-to-face, take measure of him, and possibly hire him for a death-defying mission. But just as the meeting gets under way and smartass smalltalk is made, in walks another killer-for-hire - Stallone's longtime rival, who Willis has also invited to this job interview: Ah-nuld.
"Bruce says 'Well, there's one other person I want to talk to before I hire you," says Stallone. "And then Arnold, who plays my old rival, walks in. We have a history together. And we go back and forth and I tell him that I should have shot him »

This poster should definitely get a few of you in the mood for Halloween. Our horror friends at Styd have debuted the official poster for Reg Traviss' Psychosis starring Charisma Carpenter. This horror thriller is about a horror novelist (Carpenter) who relocates with her husband to a beautiful English mansion. Once there she begins seeing visions of a horrible massacre that happened 15 years earlier. Desperate to prove she isn't losing her mind, Susan must uncover the secrets behind the massacre or risk becoming a victim herself. Sounds fun. Check out this rather creepy poster that reminds me a bit of the Drag Me to Hell poster below. I'm featuring this not because it's a great movie, but because I think it's a wonderfully creepy poster, the perfect kind to get you in the mood to be scared out of your mind on Halloween. I admire and appreciate well designed posters, »

The first official look at The Expendables has hit the net. Running at over three minutes, the preview shows a plethora of action and a handful of comedy mixed in with the gore and violence. The upcoming 2010 action film, written and directed by Sylvester Stallone pays tribute to the blockbuster action films during the 1980s and early '90s. The plot follows a team of the world's most dangerous and highly-trained mercenaries who go on a mission to South America to overthrow and assassinate a powerful, evil dictator and his army, who have been causing devastation, chaos and torture for the last twenty years. Producer Avi Lerner has reported that the film will be cut down to two versions, a PG-13-rating edit and an R-rated version, both of which will be screen tested to see which one will be officially released. However what's really attracting attention is its all star cast listed below. »

Three of the most iconic action heroes have united on screen for the first time in history. Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger have shot a scene together for Stallone's new actioner The Expendables. EthalMae's blog reveals:
After Arnold, Bruce and Sly went through the scene a couple of times they all 3 headed off to wardrobe and make-up. at 8:10am with three cameras rolling the biggest action icons of our time went to work. I thought it was electric in Brazil when all of The Expendables stepped on set - but today was atomic!!!! the whole crew was mesmerized as we watched the three of them play off of each other in a pivotal scene that sets up the whole movie. And while I can't/don't want to give too much away I can tell you that Arnold's character is Trench and Bruce is Church, the scene was »

Sylvester Stallone's new film will have a scene featuring three action heavyweights in the same scene, and now we have some new details. Ethel Mae's Blog has posted a description of a scene from Stallone's The Expendables which features Stallone, Bruce Willis and current California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was said the scene was pivotal to the set-up of the film, and here's a description of the characters Willis and Schwarzenneger play.
Arnold's character is Trench and Bruce is Church, the scene was shot in an empty church without extras and minimal set dec and it has tension and humor...Bruce and Arnold were consummate professionals at all times - we got through the scene quickly without compromise. In 6 hours we did wide shots, close-ups, turned around...the whole nine yards.

Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger will share the spotlight in "The Expendables", and on Saturday, October 24, those three came together to shoot for their scene. Through Ethelmae's Blog, publicist Maria Lascala has provided detailed description on where the filming took place and how it went.
Lascala noted that the set was set up "in Hollywood at the Hollywood Presbyterian church on Gower, which is about a 35 minute drive from Hermosa Beach". She went on describing, "Bruce looked amazing - very fit, beautiful bald head and that smirky smile. Sly looked relaxed but definitely ready to put this puppy to bed. Arnold had a stogie in his mouth, a giant watch on his arm and was constantly making jokes."
The three stars reportedly rehearsed the scene a couple of times before heading off to wardrobe and make-up. "At 8:10am with three cameras rolling the biggest action icons of our time went to work, »

Just yesterday, a promo trailer of sorts appeared online for Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming macho man action fest, The Expendables. We would have gotten it to you sooner, but as you’ll soon see, it’s not very well put together (editing wise, not the actual footage that Stallone shot) and doesn’t paint the movie in the best light. It’s clearly not a final trailer, but rather a slapped-together bunch of footage designed to give us action movie fans a taste of what’s to come.
So, due to that, we hesitated putting it on the site. But in the end we figured you might want to see it so we have it for you below.
Just keep in mind the footage is Very rough, not edited together as an actual trailer and the music is weak, to say the least.

What do you do when you’re sent a promotional trailer for the largest gathering of action hero’s in a long, long time? Why you publish it of course!
The new promotional trailer for the Sylvester Stallone written/directed action-fest, The Expendables is online – and we have a copy for you right here!
Starring the aforementioned Mr. Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Randy Couture, Eric Roberts, Danny Trejo, Charisma Carpenter, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Curtis Jackson, Brittany Murphy and David Zayas, the film promises to be an explosive (if not entertaining) thrill ride.
The footage I fear, paints a slightly different picture, with cheesy one-liners (text messages anyone?) and some shaky looking acting, but I still hold high hopes for this film – and will likely do so until opening night!
