I think that everyone is jumping the gun on Maria being a bad replacement for The Mummy 3. Who knows? She may be great in the film. Granted, it is hard for an actor or actress to "replace" someone in an established role, but I am giving her the benefit of the doubt. I personally enjoy her acting and I think she is a beautiful woman. Just because she is not Rachel Weisz doesn't mean anything. I will wait and see.

I, personally, am more worried about the movie itself, as I have read that the script got some pretty bad reviews. Also, the fact that Stephen Sommers is not going to be directing may entirely change the feel of the movie.

Also, as many others have said, perhaps it would have been just as well to not have Evy be a part of the movie at all. Write her out of it some way.

Who really knows how it will be? But, I am not going to judge the movie or Maria's performance before the first frame is even shot, and I don't think anyone else should either.

This is just my opinion...nothing more.
