In the movie, the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth.
The remake, directed by Louis Letettier (The Incredible Hulk) from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan also stars Gemma Arterton as Perseus’ love interest Io, Danny Huston as Poseidon, Mads Mikkelsen as Draco, Alexa Davalos as Andromeda, Jason Flemyng, Izabella Miko, Nicholas Hoult and Pete Postlethwaite.

Disappointing. I don't know so much about this one. "Titans Will Clash" - sounds like something out of WWE. Perhaps the next trailer will be more thought out with a better choice of music. The film opens on March 26th next year and stars Sam Worthington, Gemma Arterton, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Alexa Davalos, Mads Mikkelsen, Danny Huston, Jason Flemyng and Izabella Miko. After seeing some low-resolution photos of what looked to be some awesome one-sheets for Louis Leterrier’s upcoming remake of Clash of the Titans, combined with its stellar cast, I couldn’t be more excited to see Sam Worthington lay down the pain as Perseus against Medusa and the Kraken.
Based on Greek Mythology, the Warner Bros. production of Clash of the Titans is a remake of the classic 1981 film, well-known for its practical stop-motion effects. We’ve been waiting patiently to get a real good look at the film and that time has finally come.
So without further ado, here is the first official teaser trailer for Clash of the Titans:
Check out the HD version at Yahoo.
The cast already had me in the theater as did director Louis Leterrier who did a fantastic job with The Incredible Hulk last year. It looks cool to me (although »

The trailer for Clash of the Titans just dopped and now that I've reveled in some epic fantasy awesomeness from French director Louis Leterrier about five times I think it's time to bring some opinion into this piece.
First, thank god this looks better than The Incredible Hulk. Second, my god this makes Prince of Persia look like a silly kids flick. Is this first look at Clash of the Titan's a perfect win though? Not really. Fantasy should always have that sweeping, corn-gold classic score. Old fashioned? No way. It's up to the images to be modern, not the music. Riff-rock's just not my thing. Giant scorpions however? Total win. Brings back visions of stop-motion creature features which I love.
Synopsis:
A remake of the 1981 film version of the myth of Perseus and his quest to battle both Medusa and the Kraken monster in order to save the Princess Andromeda. »

First looks at Medusa from the forthcoming "Clash of the Titans" have been leaked out in the form of teaser posters. The one-sheets were brought into attention by Ain't It Cool News. One takes a close up look at the female monster who is famed for having snakes for hair, the other one displays Sam Worthington's Perseus holding the Medusa's head up in the air.
Beside those two posters, there were six other one-sheets from AICN. Three of which are character posters, which feature individual shot of Perseus, Liam Neeson's Zeus and Gemma Arterton's Io. Another poster sees Perseus riding a pegasus, while the remaining two expose Alexa Davalos' Princess Andromeda being sacrificed to the Kraken.

Recently HeyUGuys published the new poster for Black & Blue productions’ forthcoming film, Dead Cert. A few days before the poster went online, we managed to sit down with the film’s producer, Jonathan Sothcott, and director, Steve Lawson to find out how things were going.
When we last spoke to Lawson, the script was still in development, and the cast was just beginning to come together. Barely weeks later, things had moved on significantly. As Steve explained, “Actors have had a lot of input on the dialogue, which has made it a lot clearer… A lot of the cast that we wrote the characters around are back here again”.
As well as an expanding cast, which now features Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels veterans Dexter Fletcher and Jason Flemyng, the production designers have been busy building sets for the film. Rather than spending much of their budget on hiring studio space, »

Things are winding down at the 42nd edition of Spain’s Sitges international film festival (see last report here and go here for the fest’s official site), yet there are dozens more genre flicks left to see. So many movies, so little time! When Monday, October 12 rolls around, the event will have screened nearly 150 flicks. And that doesn’t count encores, dozens of shorts and the free screenings held at the town’s Brigadoon theater, where retrospectives on Eurohorror actor Jack Taylor, Vampyres director José Larraz and schlockmeister Juan Piquer Simon (Pieces, Slugs), plus Asian and Bollywood sidebars, unreel for both moviegoers and beachcombers.
My day gets off to an early 10:30 a.m. start with Solomon Kane, the new film by Britain’s Michael J. Bassett, director of Deathwatch and Wilderness. The lead character (played by Rome’s James Purefoy) is based on Conan creator Robert E. Howard »

The 1600's don't get nearly enough love in cinema, and it's a real shame. The era of witch hunts, musketeers, and flintlock pistols is a ripe one, and has been the setting for such gems as "Captain Blood", "The Three Musketeers" (partial to the Oliver Reed one, of course; totally badass), and "The Conqueror Worm" (aka "Witchfinder General"). And as much money as the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films have made, their success has led more to the greenlighting of franchises based on rides and brands than any real cinematic rediscovery of the 17th century. Anyway, there's something genuinely irresistible about this time frame, at least for me.
I don't know if it's the constant specter of religious strife in the pre- and post-Cromwell era, the fact that this part of »
