There's no new episode this week, but we do have a Christmas to look forward to on NCIS come December 15. Might Leroy Jethro Gibbs hang up his mistletoe that night?
It looks like it - at least soon, if not that week. Executive producer Shane Brennan tells TV Guide that Mark Harmon’s Gibbs is going to have someone to kiss this season!
We haven't seen Gibbs get romantic with a woman since Col. Hollis Mann in Season Four. That drought is about to end, as Brennan says “there is a kiss in Gibbs’ future."
This new female will stick around for a while, too. But Gibbs had better watch his back, because Brennan warns her kiss may be “romantic or a Judas kiss.” Thoughts?
Looks like NCIS fans will get a glimpse of Gibbs' love life in early 2010.

TV's top-rated show will ring in the holidays with a guest star-filled episode on December 15.
Ralph Waite will return on that date as Gibbs's father, while TV Guide Magazine reports a pair of other semi-big names have signed on for roles on the NCIS installment titled "Faith."
Corey Reynolds (The Closer's Sgt. David Gabriel, pictured) will play a naval chaplain that assists the team with its investigation.
Meanwhile, Joe Regalbuto (best known as Frank Fontana on Murphy Brown) will play a reverend whose son turns up dead.
On other casting news, Robert Wagner will show up as Tony's father on NCIS' 150th episode. »

I have nothing against soap operas. I spent many of my younger, carefree college days planted on the couch -- and missing class, incidentally -- watching "Days of Our Lives." So I can understand, even respect, a person's need to watch their stories. That said, I can't help but chuckle at the sight (and sound) of "Spider-Man" and "Pineapple Express" star James Franco in this "General Hospital" promo.
Yes, that is Gary Jules' cover of "Mad World," made famous by its appearance in Richard Kelly's "Donnie Darko," playing behind the action. And Franco does indeed smile smugly while uttering the words "Violence sells... that's what I'm all about, right?"
I don't have words. One of the producers here in the office -- I'm not naming names, to protect the innocent -- is a fan, and she just tried catching me up on the "Gh" goings-on leading up to Franco's arrival. »

NCIS is not short on great guest stars. Most recently, the drama announced that Robert Wagner would appear as Tony's father on the show's 150th episode.
Now, it's been revealed that a well-known, vertically-challenged actress is also coming on board the top-rated show on TV.
Meredith Eaton - who has appeared on CSI and House; and who enjoyed an extended run on Boston Legal - will portray Abby's former college friend and fellow lab tech on an upcoming installment. She'll visit Abby for advice.
Pauley Perrette (Abby) and Eaton are close friends in real life. »

Earlier today, Michael Weatherly spoke on his beloved NCIS character of Tony.
Now, following a CBS casting announcement, the actor probably has a lot more to say: Robert Wagner will portray Tony's father on the 150th episode of TV's top-rated series. The milestone installment will air in January.
On the small screen, Wagner most recently appeared on five episodes of Two and a Half Men in 2007-2008.
In a coincidental twist, Weatherly played Wagner in the 2004 TV movie The Mystery of Natalie Wood. »

NCIS fans may already know too much about Ziva's (Cote de Pablo) daddy and last season we were introduced to Jackson Gibbs, father of, well, Gibbs (Mark Harmon). What about the other people? Entertainment Weekly reports that this season, we will get to know the father of another NCIS agent - Tony's (Michael Weatherly).
Tony's dad is set to grace NCIS for the procedural's upcoming 150th episode, airing sometime in January. The character will be played by veteran actor Robert Wagner, best known for playing super rich private eye Jonathan Hart on the 80s crime drama Hart to Hart. The two will reportedly reunite for this milestone NCIS episode.

If nothing else, NCIS' upcoming 150th episode will be remembered for one thing: introducing us to Tony's dad! Veteran actor Robert Wagner — yes, the former Jonathan Hart himself! — has been cast as the dad of Michael Weatherly's TV sleuth, sources confirm to me exclusively. Father and son will reunite in NCIS' milestone episode, slated to air in January. Got a case of déjà vu? It's probably because Weatherly played Wagner in the 2004 TV movie The Mystery of Natalie Wood. TV's No. 1 show has an impressive track record when it comes to casting fathers of its lead characters. »

By Tom Lisanti Twenty-eight years ago actress Natalie Wood drowned off the coast of Catalina when purportedly slipping off her yacht Splendour while trying to get into or trying to secure a dinghy after a fight with her husband Robert Wagner. After what the public presumed was a thorough investigation, the police have long closed the case after the La coroner ruled it an accidental drowning. However, in the new book Goodbye Natalie, Goodbye Splendour, co-written by the ship's skipper, new allegations are brought to life including shoddy police work leaving many unanswered questions. Natalie's sister Lana Wood (best known to movie fans as "Plenty O'Toole" in the James Bond adventure Diamond Are Forever) has joined the authors in demanding that the case be reopened. White Collar will bring a new slate of characters to the USA Network family when the new series premieres on Friday, October 23 at 10 Pm Et on the USA Network. The new series was created by Jeff Eastin and the creator/executive producer recently held a conference call to discuss this new addition to the USA Network. Here's what he had to say.
Now that you have segued from writer to producer, how're you juggling everything that you're doing because that's quite a bit given that this is a new series.
Jeff Eastin: Yes, it's been a little insane. I've done it a couple times before, so it's not exactly a new experience. I gained some pretty valuable experience on the other shows that didn't survive, so I'm hoping that I can use that information to actually keep this one on the air.

Firstwivesworld.com, a community for divorced women, has named the world’s best celebrity stepfathers, and none other than Irishman Pierce Brosnan tops the list. Divorce expert Jill Brooke dishes on who she thinks wins in the categories of best and worst stepfathers, and the Irish actor comes out head and shoulders above the rest. Brooke provides a rundown of Brosnan’s impeccable fatherly track record, saying: “He was a loving stepfather to his wife Cassandra’s children, Charlotte and Christopher. They also had a son together. When Cassandra died of ovarian cancer, Brosnan took the children as his own. Subsequently he has remarried and has two more sons, Paris and Dylan.” Also on the “good” stepfather list is Paul McCartney, who adopted his first wife Linda’s daughter Heather, and Robert Wagner, who raised Natalie Wood’s daughter Natasha after Wood died. As for the bad, thankfully no Irishmen made the list. »

Roman Polanski Arrest Backgrounder No doubt you’ve heard the rumblings and innuendo about acclaimed film director Roman Polanski’s arrest in Zurich Switzerland on Us charges of sex with a 13 year old girl stemming from a incident at Jack Nicholson’s house in the 1970s. It’s a touchy subject to discuss and for those who grew up in more recent times, a bit shocking.
Hollywood in the 1970s As I recall from my youth, the Hollywood of the 1970s were full of what seem like outlandish incidents to our hyper-sensitive reality-tv diluted eyes. Examples include Hogan’s Heroes star Bob Crane’s 1978 unseemly murder and subsequent uncovering of his sexual predilections, Natalie Wood somewhat mysterious accidental drowning while on a boat with Robert Wagner and Christopher Walken in 1981 and the Hollywood connections of the Charles Manson murders including Polanski’s pregnant wife Sharon Tate.

This weekend -- ending tonight -- Lincoln Center has sponsored a Nat alie Wood retrospective.
Natalie Wood. Glorious wide-eyed brunette. Movie star married to movie star Robert Wagner. Oscar nominee for "Splendor in the Grass" and "Rebel Without a Cause" co-starring James Dean. At age 43, on Nov. 29, 1981, in sight of her yacht Splendour, she drowned off Santa Catalina Island's Blue Cavern Point. Police ruled it accidental death.
Coming out now is the book "Goodbye Natalie, Goodbye Splendour." Last year I was told, "Don't mention »

You may know the Ronalds Brothers for their Undead Office Comedy Netherbeast Incorporated , which was released with a limited theatrical and is now available on DVD. NetherBeast Incorporated stars Darrell Hammond (SNL), Dave Foley (Kids in the Hall), Jason Mewes (Clerks 1 & 2), Judd Nelson, and Robert Wagner. You might also know them as co-writers on the second season of Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns. In early October, the Ronalds brothers will be putting out a new web series starring Judd Nelson, and this one looks like a winner. In a sense similar to Lisa Kudrow's Web Therapy, Here & Now looks to be the kind of show that is really going to push the boundaries of the web series as a vehicle. As things keep progressing, and we move nearer to the accepted legitimacy of the medium, it is efforts like this that provide the rungs for the ladder. »

The best scene in the Irwin Allen-produced disaster blockbuster The Towering Inferno comes fairly early. Sneaking away from a party for a newly opened 135-story skyscraper, Robert Wagner and Susan Flannery barely have time to bask in the afterglow from their extramarital quickie before realizing they’re about to be engulfed in flames. After they trade what they hope won’t be their last goodbyes, Wagner makes a go of rushing through the fire to find help. He fails, and the film captures his death in terrifying slow motion before sending Flannery to a similar fate. Their fast-growing realization that ... »

Watchmen—Director’S Cut (Warner Bros.) Director Zack Snyder’s film of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ landmark graphic novel is as worthy an adaptation of a great book that has ever been filmed. In an alternative version of the year 1985, Richard Nixon is serving his third term as President and super heroes have been outlawed by a congressional act, in spite of the fact that two of the most high-profile “masks,” Dr. Manhattan (Billy Cruddup) and The Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) helped the U.S. win the Vietnam War. When The Comedian is found murdered, many former heroes become concerned that a conspiracy is afoot to assassinate retired costumed crime fighters. Former masks Nite Owl (Patrick Wilson), Silk Spectre (Malin Akerman) and still-operating Rorschach (Jackie Earle Haley, in an Oscar-worthy turn) launch an investigation of their own, all while the Pentagon’s “Doomsday »

It's time to take a look back at seven films I watched at home this past week outside of the six I saw in theaters. Hmmmm, 13 films in one week isn't too bad? Considering I watched four Mariner games and Tiger at the Bridgestone Invitational I would say that's pretty good, and I am going to make it an even 14 after I publish this piece, but not sure which one that will be... gonna have to wait until next weekend to find out. As for this past week, I caught up on a couple of Paul Newman features from my recently purchased Newman collection, a silent classic I had yet to see, a Jane Campion Oscar-winner I had never seen and along with that one, a second film that featured full-frontal nudity from Harvey Keitel. What are the odds on that coincidence? After checking out what I watched, add your »
