Snicker at the idea of Cuba Gooding Jr. playing a genetically altered super warrior in a post-apocalyptic wasteland if you will, but I think he could pull it off. Hey, he’s no Denzel Washington and this is no “Book of Eli”, but Gooding Jr. has proven himself more than capable of action movie heroics before, and I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. In a war-ravaged and disease-ridden future, a genetically altered killing machine escapes impending destruction and goes on the run, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. According to Cinema Blend, the movie was originally supposed to star Laurence Fishburne, who has since been replaced by Gooding Jr. The film, according to IMDb.com, will co-star Spanish beauty Paz Vega, and Olivier Martinez and Vincent Perez are “rumored” for roles.
