Charles Laughton's famous
Broadway production of
George Bernard Shaw's Don Juan in Hell, the third act of Shaw's "Man and Superman," with an all-star cast that featured
Charles Boyer as Don Juan, Sir
Cedric Hardwicke as The Statue and
Agnes Moorehead and Laughton as The Devil. Essentially a staged reading, the production had a single performance at Carnegie Hall on October 22, 1951; it then returned to New York, playing the New Century Theatre on
Broadway from November 29 - December 31, 1951 for 38 performances. After a three-month hiatus, the production staged a return engagement at
Broadway's Plymouth Theatre from April 6 - May 24, 1952, playing a total of 66 performances. Boyer was presented with a special Tony
Award for his performance as Don Juan. The production was recorded and released as an long-playing record.

Broadway and in radio; one of her most famous radio roles was that of the bedridden woman in "Sorry, Wrong Number"
With
Orson Welles she was founder and charter member of the famed Mercury Theater Players.
At one time during the run of
"Bewitched" (1964) she had a one-woman show called "An Evening with the Fabulous Red Head".

Appeared on the very first episode of the "CBS Radio Mystery Theatre" ("The Old Ones are Hard to Kill"), January 6, 1974. The program was an attempt to revive the radio drama of the 1930s and '40s. A few weeks later she appeared in another episode, "The Ring of Truth," apparently her last dramatic appearance on radio.
Frequently appeared on the radio programs "Inner Sanctum," "Mayor of the Town" and "Cavalcade of America" in the 1940s, and was a regular on the serial "Way Down East."
CBS Radio anthology series "Suspense" - including all eight times she performed the Lucille Fletcher play "Sorry, Wrong Number" between 1943 and 1960.
(1963) She acted in SN Behrman's play, "Lord Pengo," at the Royale Theatre in New York City with Charles Boyer and Brian Bedford in the cast.
