Other Works:
Appeared as Donna Anna in Charles Laughton's famous Broadway production of George Bernard Shaw's Don Juan in Hell, the third act of Shaw's "Man and Superman," with an all-star cast that featured Charles Boyer as Don Juan, Sir Cedric Hardwicke as The Statue and Agnes Moorehead and Laughton as The Devil. Essentially a staged reading, the production had a single performance at Carnegie Hall on October 22, 1951; it then returned to New York, playing the New Century Theatre on Broadway from November 29 - December 31, 1951 for 38 performances. After a three-month hiatus, the production staged a return engagement at Broadway's Plymouth Theatre from April 6 - May 24, 1952, playing a total of 66 performances. Boyer was presented with a special Tony Award for his performance as Don Juan. The production was recorded and released as an long-playing record.
