Forbes.com has just unveiled its list of Primetime TV's 20 Top-Earning Women and sitting on the very top of the list is retired model Tyra Banks. Putting her modeling career on hold and in the meantime invading the silver screen with her daytime talk show, "The Tyra Banks Show", and serving as producer and judge on "America's Next Top Model," the beauty banked around $23 million from June 1, 2007 to June 1, 2008.
Fellow catwalk queen Heidi Klum comes 2nd on the list, taking in a reported $14 million earning from her role as host of "Project Runway," her renewed Victoria's Secret contract, designing deals and a number of advertising campaigns. Both supermodels best TV actress Katherine Heigl, best known for her role as Izzie Stevens on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," who earned $13 million over the course of the year.

Katie Couric is keeping her anchor chair at the "CBS Evening News" - at least for now.
"We have no plans to part company any time soon," Couric told TV critics in La yesterday via satellite.
"There were a lot of speculative pieces that I think got spun out of control - and clearly when you work for an organization, you have ongoing discussions," she said.
"But I am very committed to the people here and very committed to the product."
Rumors about Couric's imminent departure have been flying for months as her third-place newscast continues to struggle for viewers.

Emmy's winners for acting are chosen in a three-tier system by actors who belong to the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. During the first two weeks of June, they participate in a popular vote that determines a Top 10 runoff in each race. Finalists submit a sample episode of their best work to judges, whose scores are combined by accountants in a 50-50 mix with results of the original popular vote.
