Veteran actress Joan Collins once cheated death on a turbulent flight to the Caribbean - but was shocked when one of her fellow passengers refused to be frightened by the ordeal.
The star was travelling to the region on an old plane when she noticed English actor James Mason was calmly reading his newspaper while those around him - including herself - panicked.
She says, "(I asked) James - aren't you terrified? It's so bumpy we could even crash. (He replied) 'Oh no, my dear. I'm never frightened of planes. I fly so much, what is there to be anxious about?'
"That's when I realised his newspaper was upside down."

Joan Collins has proved she still has men fighting over her - after a pair of businessmen this week (begs05May08) became locked in a bidding war to win a date with the star.
The 74-year-old appeared at the Caudwell Children Legends Ball in London on Thursday and auctioned off a date for charity.
But the former Dynasty star sparked a frenzy - with two men each bidding $200,000 (GBP100,000) for a chance to have dinner with her.
And in a bid to make peace, Collins eventually granted both men what they wanted.
A guest at the event tells British newspaper the Daily Telegraph, "In the end, Joan decided to take both of them out for dinner. They will donate GBP100,000 each. The venue has yet to be decided."

The scrapped sequel to classic 1970s movie The Wicker Man was to star Joan Collins and Christopher Lee as evil cult leaders.
Collins reveals the production, which was due to start shooting in the Scottish Highlands this month, was to be directed by Robin Hardy, the man behind the original.
And she still hopes the film can go ahead. She tells Black Book magazine, "It's about two young people from America who are gospel singers. They go to a remote village in the Highlands to convert people to Christianity.
"They come in contact with an evil cult led by two people. One of them is Christopher Lee, and the other one is me."
Lee played the villain in the original film, which starred Edward Woodward.
The sequel was scrapped last month due to "financial difficulties".
