Hayley Atwell has joined the cast of the ITV/AMC remake of cult '60s series The Prisoner. The 26-year-old, a regular in British period dramas (Mansfield Park, the upcoming Brideshead Revisited), told MTV that she will soon jet off to Namibia to work on the six-part series with Sir Ian McKellen and Jim Caviezel. Atwell described the new series as "ambiguous" and reflecting contemporary issues such as security concerns. "It's [about] this guy who gets taken into this village and everyone's got a number, not a name," (more)

Actor Jim Caviezel's portrayal of Jesus in a new audiobook has made history at the 2008 Evangelical Book of The Year Awards.
The Passion of The Christ star voiced the role of Christ in a 21-hour New Testament package, called The World of Promise and the 'audio Bible' has become the first non-book to claim the top religious prize in 30 years.
As well as Caviezel, the audiobook features the voices of Terence Stamp as God, Marisa Tomei, Lou Gossett Jr. and Luke Perry.

Jesus has returned.
Jim Caviezel, who was sensational as Christ in Mel Gibson's bloody Bible story, has a new sci-fi flick called Outlander, which, surprisingly enough, is not in any way based on a sport utility vehicle.
Instead, Outlander is about an alien battle on Earth during the reign of the Vikings, although the movie puts it at 709 Ad, about a hundred years before the first Norse Viking raids. Why not just move it up and be a teensy bit more accurate, he asks before remembering this is about an alien war in Norway.
In a way, I dig the concept, much as I admired the basic outline of The 13th Warrior, which, as it happens, isn't much of a movie. The stranger in a strange land premise has served many a movie quite well over the years, and Caviezel's a good enough actor to make it work. He's

Just over a month ago I distinctly remember writing about an indie action film called Outlander about a humanoid alien who "fuses" with the Vikings to fight an alien creature that crash lands on Earth. At the time it sounded pretty awesome and the photos did capture my interest, but none of that could have prepared me for this intense trailer for Outlander. This looks a lot better than I was expecting and watching it leaves me pumped up for some action. It looks like a combination of Pitch Black, Pathfinder, and The 13th Warrior, with James Caviezel leading the way. I don't know if this is ever going to show up in theaters, but I'll be anxiously awaiting it if it does. Vikings and aliens - what more could you ask for? The international trailer for ‘that movie with Vikings and aliens’ is now online. The film stars James Caviezel as a man from a far off world who crash lands on earth when the Vikings are busy impaling each other with axes and spears. It looks quite interesting and the trailer is full of explosions,
