Who and what will feature in the next Star Trek movie?
That seems to be a popular topic for debate as director Jj Abrams and writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman explore story possibilities amid huge pressure to repeat the success of the first film.
And Kate Mulgrew, who played Captain Kathryn Janeway in TV series Star Trek: Voyager, is keen on a slice of the intergalactic action once again.
Janeway also appeared as a Starfleet Vice Admiral in 2002's Star Trek Nemesis movie.
Genevieve Bujold was originally cast in the role for the TV series but quit after the second day of filming on the first episode.
Mulgrew, 54, who had suggested the character's first name, says she'd be very interested in appearing in the new Star Trek franchise if asked by Jj Abrams.
Asked by Sci Fi Now if she'd consider a role in the new films, she said: "I would, »

Hospitals seem a natural setting for a horror films: claustrophobic rooms filled with the sick and dying, operating theaters dedicated to slicing open the human body, plus basement morgues stacked with the fresh corpses of those who didn't make it. And finally, most terrifying of all…the bill! Here are ten particularly gruesome cinematic facilities where health care reform is truly a necessity. Coma (1978). Based on Robin Cook's best seller, this is still by far the best hospital thriller for sheer white-knuckle suspense. While working at a prestigious Boston hospital, medical student Genevieve Bujold uncovers a sinister conspiracy to kill healthy people for their body parts. The subtext of a... »

I think actor-turned-director Jacob Tierney pretty much hit the nail on the head for what should be a Canadian-Actors dream team, albeit a small one. To support headliner Jay Baruchel are Colm Feore, the hilarious Saul Rubinek, Genevieve Bujold (who looks So old now...), the freaky-eyed Michael Murphy and the drop-dead gorgeous Jessica Paré. The Trotsky, which recently made the rounds at the Toronto Film Fest, stars Baruchel as a high... »

The Trotsky Written and directed by Jacob Tierney Starring: Jay Baruchel, Colm Feore, Saul Rubinek, Genevieve Bujold, and Emily Hampshire There's nothing like a good movie about Marxism and fascism. Montreal born director Jacob Tierney has made quite an amusing film here. Jay Baruchel (Knocked Up, Tropic Thunder) stars as teenager Leon Bronstein and he truly believes that he is the reincarnation of Bolshevik and Marxist theorist Leon Trotsky. Why do you ask? Well, for one Leon Bronstein was the given name to Leon Trotsky and this kid has a big thing for workers rights and unions. He thinks his life should parallel Trotsky's life so much that he plans on being exiled, at least twice, and ultimately assassinated. At the moment though, he's quite focused on finding his Lenin and an older woman to marry, preferably named Alexandra. We get a good glimpse of what this kid is all about when, »

So in last Sunday’s much-discussed episode of Brothers & Sisters, Kevin and Scotty considered having a threeway with Kevin’s oh-so-forward ex, Chad.
I didn’t mind that Kevin and Scotty ultimately decided not to go through with it – that seems to fit their characters, after all.
But I was shocked that the writers managed to do a whole storyline about a gay couple considering whether or not to have a threeway … without ever saying a single interesting thing about a gay couple considering whether or not to have a threeway!
No matter. It’s still enough of an excuse to declare this the “Threeway Edition” of B.G.W.E!
Incest, “Fun Buddies,” And Teabagging, Oh My!
Along with Brothers & Sisters’ potential threeway, the big news last week was when easily-manipulated Fox viewers decided to protest the fact that President Obama has already cut taxes for most taxpayers (while »

If news broke today that Tori Spelling, Freddie Prinze Jr., Rachael Leigh Cook, Genevieve Bujold, Josh Hamilton, and Parker Posey were going to star in a movie together, it probably wouldn't be something anyone would get excited about, or yearn to see. It also wouldn't seem believable that they would come together for a darkly comedic story rife with word play ... if it didn't already happen in 1997.
A strange anomaly in the cinematic world, The House of Yes was the film that made the best of everyone -- the rare example that some chastised stars could offer more than the usual easily forgotten fare. Spelling shrugged off her Donna Martin image to play the girl who grew up on pancakes, and Prinze Jr. even managed a difficult balance of innocent newbie and nuanced man with a plan.
While I fell in love with the film from moment one, it was »
