Red-Band Trailer For Quarantine!

27 July 2008 8:00 AM, PDT | From iconsoffright.com | See recent Icons of Fright news

While I'm looking forward to seeing exactly how the Dowdle Brothers handle the American remake of [Rec], I'm slightly disappointed by the spoiler-heavy advertising for Quarantine thus far. (This is based on having seen [Rec], maybe they changed it drastically? But it sure doesn't look like it!) Regardless, IGN now has a Red-band trailer for Quarantine, which hits theaters on October 10th this year. It stars Jennifer Carpenter (The Exorcism Of Emily Rose, Dexter), Jonathan Schaech (Prom Night) and Jay Hernandez (Hostel). Watch the following trailer with caution! And read our review of the original Spanish movie this is based on right Here! ([Rec] is rumored to be getting a Us DVD later this year as well.)

Robert Hall is currently in production of his slasher Laid to Rest, about a young woman who wakes up in a casket and must evade her maniac captor. However, Robert did take time out of his schedule to come to Comic-Con and chat it up with Uncle Creepy.

Robert informed us that Prom Night alums Johnathon Schaech and Jana Kramer are being flown in to film a couple scenes for Laid to Rest in a week or two. Sure, that doesn't sound to amazing, but Mr. Hall confirmed that these two will "have the most brutal deaths" in the entire film! Thank you! Those who left the bloodless Pn remake feeling cheated will finally get to see two of the beautiful people bite the big one in awesome, gory fashion!

Laid to Rest also stars the beautiful Lena Headey along with Kevin Gage, Bobbi Sue Luther and Anthony Fitzgerald. Expect

Applegate Reunites With Ex-boyfriend

30 April 2008 7:04 AM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Actress Christina Applegate has reunited with her skateboarder ex Lee Grivas, and moved him back in to her Hollywood home, according to reports.

The pair briefly dated after 36-year-old Applegate's marriage to Johnathon Schaech ended in 2006, but they split soon after.

But they were photographed leaving a Los Angeles restaurant together last week, and now insiders claim the romance is back on.

A friend says, "Lee's a simple guy and he took good care of Christina the first time around. And he'd love to make a baby with her - which is Christina's number one priority right now."

Applegate recently revealed her desire to become a mother: "That's (motherhood) something I really need to get on soon, which is difficult in the current situation. I feel complete when I'm with babies and kids... If I end up doing it on my own, I don't see anything wrong with that."

Applegate's Marriage Threatened By Long Distance

7 January 2008 8:07 AM, PST | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Christina Applegate knew her marriage to actor Johnathon Schaech would never last - after the couple spent a year living apart on the opposite coasts of the U.S.

The actress - who was forced to relocate from Los Angeles to New York in 2004 after accepting a role in Broadway show Sweet Charity - ignored her marital problems while living on the East Coast, but could no longer deny her relationship was in trouble after returning home, reports New York gossip column PageSix.

She says, "A lot of stuff happened there, so it was interesting to come home (to Los Angeles) and face my reality and my truth. I think I was sort of in a fantasy world there."

And the 36-year-old has slammed the "incredibly exaggerated" rumours that she and her ex have rekindled their romance: "We just talked and hung out for a little while and that was the end of it."
