Best Actress in a Supporting Role for: Ghost (1990) Over the weekend of February 2nd, 2002, the Oscar statuette "disappeared" from a sealed shipping container. Goldberg, via the Academy, had sent it back to the manufacturer of the statuettes, R.S. Owens Co. of Chicago, for cleaning and replating. Allegedly the statuette was found in a trash bin at Ontario, Calif., airport on Tuesday, 5 February. "Oscar will never leave my house again", Goldberg commented in a statement. |
